Buffalo Police Chief Gives Report To City Council

At their last meeting the Buffalo City Council heard the monthly report for September from Buffalo Police Chief Jason Carder.

Carder reported there were 1,161 incidents during the month and only one animal control call into the county which the county was charged $50 for.

The BPD has begun their deer harvesting program in the city and Carder reported 17 harvested as of the meeting and no results from the Wyoming Game and Fish have been received on the testing for Chronic Wasting Disease yet.

Carder also told the council he will have extra officers on duty the night of the Light Up Buffalo celebration November 24th, especially during the fireworks celebration from 4:30 to 6:30 pm.

Carder also submitted a request to the council for permission to apply for a Homeland Security Grant.

The council approved Mayor Randy Dyess to sign the grant appliction for the $6,224.45 grant which will be in effect from 2012 to 2014.
