Buffalo's alcohol retailers did a very good job not selling to minors in the last round of compliance checks, according to Buffalo Police Chief Jason Carder, who gave the results to the Buffalo City Council at their last meeting.
Councilman Bill Hawley asked Carder how the compliance checks went.
The checks were performed on December 30th of 2011.
Carder also reported that city police responded to one animal call in the county and will bill them for it.
The department has taken possession of a new 2012 Ford Expedition for patrol purposes, and carder said it is now in rotation with the rest of the fleet.
Finally he reported that Officer John Manzella was recovering from surgery in Houston, and that he appeared to be doing well.
