Buffalo Planner Outlines 2012 During State Of City Address

At Wednesday's State of the City Address, Buffalo City Planner Zach Montgomery gave a report outlining what projects the city will be concentrating on, as well as those that have been completed and those in the planning stages.

Montgomery said the planning department was in rough shape when he took the position 18 months ago, buy with the help of city staff, much has been completed in that time.

Current and ongoing projects the city will be working on in 2012 include the Crazy Woman Square redesign, the Sports Fields Complex, the SW Quadrant Infrastructure Project and Cemetery Road Pathway Project.

Some of the projects that will begin in 2012 are the 30-year Transportation Plan, Stormwater Drainage Master Plan, an updating the 2007 Comprehensive plan,begin planning for a possible community events center, and begin planning for the area behind Main Street redevelopment, among others.
