Buffalo City Planner Zach Montgomery gave his report to the city council at their last meeting in January, updating them on a number of issues.
The Development Review Committee (DRC) scanned construction plans for both the new Cloud Peak School and the O'Reilly Auto Parts Store. A few issues were discovered and the DRC gave their recommendations back to the to the representatives on those projects.
The Planning Commission met on January 24 and had their annual business meeting. They also heard a conditional-use permit application for a child day-care facility in the Greenleaf Subdivision. More on both of the items should be presented at Tuesday's council meeting.
Montgomery has been working on a feasibility study for the Johnson County Commissioners and at their request, he examined what the needs are at the fairgrounds.
The study looked at an indoor roping arena, a community building, and various upgrades to existing facilities. The study should be addressed further at the commissioner's meeting Tuesday.
