Buffalo City Planner Zach Montgomery reported to the city council that he has the approval of the Planning and Zoning Commission to begin the five year update to the 2007 Comprehensive Master Plan (CMP).

A Comprehensive Master Plan will typically look at a community's goals for future development.
The plans will usually outline the city's land use, transportation systems, utilities, recreation and housing and how to implement those goals into future city planning.

The updating of the CMP is expected to take a number of months to complete, according to Montgomery.

Montgomery was also questioned about the grant he is helping the Cowboy Carousel Committee with for the relocation of the carousel to its proposed new home on North Lobban Avenue.

The next city council meeting will be Wednesday, January 2nd at 5pm in City Hall.
