Buffalo Police Receive Grant

The end of the month report for the Buffalo Police Department was given to the city council at their last meeting by Mayor Randy Dyess, due to Police Chief Jason Carder having a previous commitment.

Mayor Dyess said there were 1,282 incidents recorded and 4,183 phone calls handled during the month of September.

Animal Control Officer Karen Kimutis responded to one call in the county, and they will be billed $50 for the call.

There was also a request made by the Mayor on behalf of Chief Carder for the council to accept a Homeland Security Grant, and he explains further.

The $7,000 grant will assist with purchasing radios along with some safety equipment, according to Chief Carder's report.
