Buffalo Mayor Makes Numerous Proclamations

Buffalo Mayor Shane Schrader made a number of proclamations during the city council meeting this week.

Two proclamations were made concerning the American Legion.
The first was for November 8th as Poppy Day to remember those fallen in war.

Next, he honored the American Legion Auxiliary's Centennial Day of November 10th, saying the American Legion was established by Congress in 1919 as a wartime veteran's organization based on care for veterans, national security, Americanism and children and youth.
The American Legion is dedicated to upholding the ideals of freedom and democracy while working to make a difference in the lives of Americans.
The American Legion Auxiliary was also founded in 1919 to support the efforts of the American Legion.

Mayor Schrader also proclaimed Wednesday, November 6th as Boys and Girls Club Appreciation and Awareness Day, and proclaimed Saturday, November 8th as National Cribbage Day in the city.
