Buffalo Golf Course Clubhouse Needs Upgrades

Buffalo's Municipal Golf Course clubhouse is in need of upgrades to bring the building up to fire code, according to Kevin Bettinger and Jim Farmer, members of the Buffalo Golf Board, who spoke to the city council at their last meeting.

The city-owned clubhouse was inspected by the State Fire Marshal in February, and was found to need a list of upgrades to bring it back to code.
Bettinger said the kitchen area has issues that will need to be addressed at another time. The hood above the stove was condemned and they will not be able to use that until some major ventilation issues are resolved.

Bettinger explained what they were seeking approval
for.

None of the projects was submitted for either One-Percent or Severance Tax funding, according to Bettinger.

The council approved the Golf Board to have the projects completed and cover the expense, which they will be reimburse for with the FY 2016 Budget, which will take effect July 1st, in the amount of $4,745.39.

Bettinger also said the One-Percent Committee's recommendation for the golf course was to receive no one-percent funding over the next two years.
He asked the council to reconsider the committee's recommendation.
