Buffalo Council Throws Out Bids, Will Re-bid Project

Buffalo Council Throws Out Bids, Will Re-bid Project

The Buffalo City Council, at their meeting Tuesday voted to throw out bids received for landscaping work at the new wastewater treatment plant.

City Works Supervisor Les Hook recommended the move to the Council and explained why.

Hook believes the concrete work that was added to the contract has been estimated by both contractors to be $17,000 of their total bids, and he would like to have City crews do that portion of the project to save some money.

City Clerk Julie Silbernagel said that the loan for the plant is still open, and the landscaping project is part of that original loan. The City will have to make their first payment on the loan in December and explained how this project may change the payment schedule.

Hook will bring the new bids before the Council when they are received.
