Buffalo Council Renews Animal Shelter Contract

The City of Buffalo has renewed their annual contract with St. Francis Animal Shelter to provide services concerning animal control in the city.

The current contract is identical to previous contracts the city has had with the shelter, according to City Attorney Ben Kirven.

The contract specifies the city will pay the shelter $1,500 per month for services relating to animal control, housing, and other services for dogs and cats that are picked up by the Buffalo Police Department or the Animal Control Officer.

The contract, which was approved unanimously by the council, is for the 2019-20 fiscal year.
