Buffalo Council Postpones Decision On County Tap Fee Waiver

The Buffalo City Council, at their last regular meeting, decided to put off a discussion and decision on the request from Johnson County for a waiver of water and sewer tap fees for a county-owned building on Fairgrounds Road.

The property, located at 30 Fairgrounds Road, is currently being renovated from a a residence to office spaces for county government business.

Mayor Mike Johnson, at the city council meeting, explained that the department heads had discussed the possibility at their monthly meeting, and he then found the request from the county on his desk the day of the meeting.

The mayor suggested the council put the issue on the agenda for the first meeting in November on Tuesday the 3rd, which the council agreed to.
