Buffalo Council OKs Water Tap For Property In County

At the request of First Northern Bank, the Buffalo City Council approved a variance for a water tap installation on a property outside the city limits.

The bank requested the variance on property formerly known as the WFO Racing Building at Cowboy Town/Wolf Den, which the bank now owns. There are water and sewer taps on adjacent properties at Cowboy Town, but this particular building does not have a water tap.

The bank requested the variance to make the property more marketable.

The tap will have to be into an existing city line under County Road 204, or TW Road, and a Water Connector's Agreement will have to be drafted and signed between the city and the property owner.

The bank will pay double the normal tap fee of $2,500 for a total fee on this tap of $5,000. Base rate and overage charges also double on the monthly water fee.
