Buffalo Council OK's Use Permit For Habitat For Humanity

Buffalo Council OK's Use Permit For Habitat For Humanity

Buffalo's City Council, at Tuesday's regular meeting, approved a Conditional Use Permit for Habitat For Humanity of Johnson County for their property located on Williams Street in Buffalo.

The property houses their retail store and storage facilities, and they are wanting to build on the property.

City Planning Director Lynn Barrett explained that through Habitat's application for a building permit, they discovered the property was zoned as R-1 residential instead of as a commercial property.

Barrett explained what the easiest fix for the issue would be.

The Planning and Zoning Commission, after reviewing the application, recommended the council approve the permit, which they voted to allow.
