Buffalo Council OKs Purchase Of New Patrol Vehicle

Buffalo police Chief Jason Carder requested permission to complete a transaction that would net the city a new police patrol vehicle while receiving credit for another that the dealer has not been able to repair.

Carder asked the council to accept a bid from Fremont Ford in Sheridan for a 2014 Ford Interceptor for $19,205 which includes the trade-in value of $8,100 for the unrepairable Ford Explorer that is still on their lot.

Also part of the request was a separate bid from Wireless Advanced Communications to decommission the old vehicle, removing the equipment from and installing it on the new Interceptor. The amount of that bid is $12,737.00.

The total request for the bids to replace the old patrol vehicle with the new Interceptor is $31,942 which the council approved unanimously.
