Buffalo Council OKs Projects For Rec Board Applications

At their last meeting the Buffalo City Council approved various projects for funding applications to the Johnson County Recreation Board.

City Planner Zach Montgomery told the council the chemicals for the outdoor pool was the only application he had to that point in time. He wanted permission from the council to pursue funding for the lighting at the new sports fields complex, and then asked for any other ideas the council members had to apply for funding.

Councilman Russ Humphrey asked Montgomery why he was asking for funding for lights at the sports fields complex and why the lighting had not been part of the original bid for construction of the complex.

Humphrey then asked about a change order on the project that he wanted an explanation on.

Getting back to the Rec Board applications, the council approved Montgomery applying for the pool chemicals, three applications for the Trails Board, and the application for the sports fields complex.
