Buffalo Council OKs Insurance Premium Increase

Buffalo Council OKs Insurance Premium Increase

At their last meeting the Buffalo City Council discussed and then accepted a three-percent increase in premiums for employee health care insurance.

The provider needed to know by May 1st if the city wanted to make any changes on their health insurance policy, which the city did not, and voted to keep the insurance the same and absorb the three-percent increase in premiums for FY 2013.

Also approved by the council was Ordinance No. 1361 on second reading, granting a franchise agreement to Bresnan Communications, LLC for construction and operation of their cable system within the city.

The council made two seperate proclamations, the first to designate April 14-20 as the “Week of the Young Child,” and another naming April 2013 as “Child Abuse and Sexual Assault Prevention Month.”

Finally the council approved a catering permit request from the Bozeman Trail Steakhouse for the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation Banquet May 4th at the Johnson County Fairgrounds.
