Buffalo Council OKs Design Phase For NW Water Pipeline

At their meeting Tuesday, the Buffalo City Council agreed to sign an agreement to begin the design phase of the NW Water Pipeline Project.

City Attorney Ben Kirven told the council he had reviewed the paperwork and recommended the council approve the mayor signing the documents.

He explained the documents to the council.

This first, or design, phase of the project will look at pathways and specific designs for the water pipeline project, which will run from west Buffalo up near the airport, down Airport Road, east to the King Property and tie with with Greenleaf Subdivision.

Mayor Randy Dyess explains how the system will benefit the city.

The cooperation between the city and county, Dyess said, will benefit both parties by getting water closer to the county-owned airport and the city gaining a redundant water line and coverage in North Buffalo.
