Those interested in becoming the next Buffalo City Councilman will address the Council at their meeting today in City Hall. The seat was left vacant when former city councilman Bruce Hepp passed away suddenly in October of this year.

The six candidates are: Mike Johnson; Rachel McCaughey; Annalea Redding; Justin Gerard; Lewis Pierson, Jr.; and Don Vogl. All are expected to be at the council meeting.

Mayor Randy Dyess explains why the council wanted the candidates at the meeting.

The public is encouraged to come to the council meeting to hear the candidates and ask questions or comment if they wish.

The city council will conduct interviews with each candidate next week, according to Dyess. They will be making a selection from the candidates and the final decision is expected at the December 20th council meeting.

Tonight's council meeting will begin at 5 pm in council chambers at Buffalo City Hall.
