Buffalo Council Discusses Ideas For Lot On Fetterman

Buffalo's City Council discussed ideas for possible uses of a city-owned vacant lot on Fetterman Street behind the Clear Creek Cantina.

City Works Director Les Hook said City Clerk (Julie Silbernagel) has been working very hard to find a way to clean up the vacant lot and to find a good use for the property. So he asked the council to stop by and see how they would “envision that lot and what we could use it for,” until sush time as it is used for a building or put to some other use.
Some suggestions were for a graveled parking area, a dog run or a small park-type area, but the council will bring suggestions to a future meeting.

Hook also said he will have a new policy for the council to review and he explains why.

Hook said OSHA has reviewed and approved the policy as written and will now need to be approved by the council.

Finally Hook reported that red compost cans for city residents are now available at the city yard for use through the summer months and are available to rent for $5 per month.
