Buffalo's City Council, at their meeting Tuesday, discussed new radio consoles and new computers for the new justice center that is under construction.

Buffalo Police Chief Mike Chapman told the council about the radio consoles.

The radio consoles will be installed in the new dispatch center at the new justice center.

Chapman said the cost of the console will be just under $361,500, which will be split between the city and county. Chapman explained the terms of the contract to the council.

The council will have City Attorney Ben Kirven look the contract over and have a decision ready by the next meeting.

The council also decided, along with the county, to purchase the new computers for the justice center instead of leasing them. The terms of the lease agreement and the costs involved, they said, made it more feasible to purchase the computers.

The company supplying them will now return a hard bid for the computers for the entities to review.
