Buffalo Council Updated On City Works Projects

At their meeting last week the Buffalo City Council got an update on projects and approved the purchase of a piece of equipment for the Public Works Department.

Public Works Director Les Hook began by asking for approval to accept a bid on a sweeping unit to be used on a skid steer.

Hook explains more about the piece of equipment.

Hook reported that the new playground has been installed at the city park in the Greenleaf Subdivision. Sand has been installed and the equipment is complete minus one guard for a slide that is being shipped seperately.

The city's raw water line has broken twice this summer and has been repaired both times.

The 18-inch water transmission line from the water treatment plant west of town to the city will break ground September 4. Hook said the contractor is planning to be done with the project by the end of the year.
