Buffalo Council Awards Contract For Audit Services

The Buffalo City Council has awarded the contract for audit services for the city for the next two years.

Mayor Shane Schrader read the three bids received by the city, which were from Carver, Florek, and James, CPAs of Layton, Utah for $28,700; Cloud Peak Accounting of Buffalo for $30,000; and Porter, Muirhead, Cornia, and Howard, CPAs of Casper for $59,000.

City Clerk/Treasurer Julie Silbernagel explained that the $59,000 bid from Porter, Muirhead, Cornia, and Howard was only for the second year of the contract, and the council did not consider that bid.

The council chose to award the contract to the low bidder Carver, Florek and James for $28,700 for each of the next two years.
