Buffalo Council Approves Water Taps For Three County Homes

A few Johnson County residents will be getting city water for their homes after their requests to tie in to a city line were approved by the Buffalo City Council.

City Works Director Les Hook discussed the requests before the council and explained more about what the homeowners were seeking.

Homeowners outside the city limits can request to tap city water lines for service, but the tap fees are doubled, and the monthly charge for water service is also double what city residents pay per month.

City Attorney Ben Kirven also reminded the council that a Water Connector's Agreement needs to be drawn and signed by the homeowners before they tie in to the water line.

The council approved the requests contingent upon the water connector's agreements being filed.
