Buffalo Council Approves Purchase Of Dump Truck

The Buffalo City Council, at their last meeting, approved the purchase of a dump truck, as requested by City Works Director Les Hook.

Hook explained that the truck had been earmarked in his FY2014 budget, and was now seeking to purchase it.

He explains more about the purchase.

Hook also reported to the council that city crews are wrapping up patching potholes in streets. Crews will then begin concentrating on paving Butte Street in front of the recycling center and Railroad Avenue next to Ace Hardware. Hook expects those streets to be completed before July 19th.

Curb and gutter is nearly complete on Conrad Street at the new Cloud Peak School site, and the contractor is expected to be finished with concrete work on that portion of the project by the end of this week.

Roadways in the city's alleys will be worked on this summer, and Hook expects those on the north end of the city will be completed before the end of July.

Finally Hook reported a small issue at the wastewater treatment plant that the manufacturer has been informed of. We will report more on that subject tomorrow.
