Buffalo Council Approves Mayor's Appointments

Buffalo Mayor Mike Johnson brought his recommendations for appointments to various board s to the city council for their consideration at their Tuesday meeting.

Mayor Johnson recommended Ben Kirven for city attorney; himself and Les Hook for three-year terms on the Joint Fuel Dispensing Board; Kate Harness for a three-year term on the Planning & Zoning Board; William Edwards for a two-year term on the Tree Board; and Christy Kessler to a two-year term on the Mountain Plains Heritage Park Joint Powers Board.

Also up for appointment was Julia Bettinger for a three-year term on the Buffalo-Johnson County Recycling Center Joint Powers Board, but that was tabled, according to Mayor Johnson.

The council approved the recommendations as presented by Mayor Johnson.
