Buffalo Council Approves Lot Split, Amendment

Resolution No. 1314, authorizing a lot split for property in the county was approved by the Buffalo City Council at their last meeting.

Property owned by Pete Dube, which is in the county but within the one-mile extraterritorial zone, needs to be split to make the sale of the properties easier, according to his realtor. City Planner Zach Montgomery explained the situation to the council.

Properties within the one-mile extraterritorial zone require the approval of both the City and County to effect any changes.

The Council also approved Resolution No. 1316, authorizing an amendment to the budget for this fiscal year. Mayor Randy Dyess explains.

Ordinance No. 1346, authorizing the subdivison of the Buffalo Theater Condominium, was approved on second reading.

The Ordinance will split the building into three seperate spaces independent of each other. The building currently houses the Buffalo Theater, Sheridan College in Johnson County, and a third currently unoccupied space.
