Buffalo Council Approves Law Enforcement Grant

Buffalo Police Chief Jason Carder brought a request before the city 0council for approval of a 2016-17 Highway Safety Grant for DUI and Speed Enforcement in the amount of just over $7,200.

Chief Carder explained that this is an annual grant they receive from the state for extra enforcement.

The council approved the acceptance of the grant.

Carder also reported that officers will be assisting with this Saturday's Drug Take-Back Day at Shopko from 10 to 2.

Officers will also be giving their “Stranger Danger” presentation to area third graders on October 27th, in preparation for Halloween.

The department will be assisting with the annual Monster March downtown on Halloween afternoon, and Carder said he will also have extra officers on patrol that night while the kids are Trick-or-Treating.
