Buffalo Council Approves Funds For YMCA Repairs

Buffalo's City Council has approved funds to repair walls in the racquetball area of the city-owned Johnson County Family YMCA building.

YMCA Director Mike Quast came before the council at this week's meeting to ask for $7,300 for repairs to a common wall the racquetball area shares with the hot tub area in the pool section of the building.

Quast explains how the damage occurred.

Quast said contractors have inspected the area and there is cinder block wall behind the panels and they don’t believe there is any further water damage there.

The council approved $7,300 from the city's Building Maintenance Fund to pay for the repairs.
