Buffalo Council Approves Classic Car Parade

Buffalo Council Approves Classic Car Parade

At their May 1 meeting, the Buffalo City Council approved a request for permission to have a classic car parade downtown later this summer.

The classic car parade was requested by Bighorn Tire for their annual Show and Shine Car Show.
The parade will be Saturday, August 11 and will begin at South Bypass and Main Street and will wind through downtown to conclude at Hart Street.

Last year was their first annual parade and show, and Megan washut said they had 125 cars registered and a few more that came after registrations, so this year they expect nearly 150 cars for the event.

Councilman Russ Humphrey requested the council approve the purchase of a Mayor's Trophy and for members of the council to be present to award the trophy during the event.

The council approved the purchase of a trophy, not to exceed $100, and approved the request for the parade downtown.
