Buffalo Council Approves Pipeline Change

Buffalo Council Approves Pipeline Change

Buffalo City Works Director Les Hook brought the first change order from the NW Water Pipeline project before the city council for their consideration at their last meeting.

Hook said the change order deals with some of the easement problems associated with the line, and he explained

The $18,000 change order was also approved by Wyoming Water Development Commission as part of the grant/loan program the city is partnered in with the county and WWDC, so the cost of the change order will not be borne by the city alone, according to the discussions at the meeting.

The project itself will construct a water distribution line from the city to the unincorporated areas just north of the city near the airport and east to the Greenleaf Subdivision.

County residents in these areas will have the option of forming their own special districts to purchase water from the city if they so choose, once the project is completed.

The city council voted to approve the change order.
