Buffalo Council Approves Appointments, Requests

The Buffalo City Council, at their last meeting, approved a request from the Pool Board, to allow them to submit a funding request to the Buffalo Charitable Foundation.

Mayor Randy Dyess said the letter board would be requesting $10,000 for miscellaneous purchases for the City Pool.

Also approved was the Mayor's appointments for Steve Reimann to the Vision Buffalo Commission and Keith Neustel to the Kaycee/Buffalo/Johnson County Economic Development Joint Powers Board.

Resolution No. 1352, supporting the alliance for Northwest jobs and exports of Wyoming coal to Asian markets through ports along the Northwest coast was also approved by the council.

Mayor Randy Dyess explains further.

Dyess said he believes the city should not only support the coal export issue, but stand with the Governor in promoting Wyoming any way they can to overseas Asain markets as well.
