Buffalo Council Discusses Animal Codes, Other Legal Issues

At their last meeting the Buffalo City Council discussed with City Attorney Ben Kirven projects he is currently working on.

Kirven reported that Animal Control Officer Karen Kimutis is still working on the latest upgrades to the city's animal codes, saying he is “cautiously optimistic” he will have a rough draft of the upgrades for the council to review at their next meeting October 1st.

Mayor Randy Dyess asked if Kirven could make sure codes involving animal waste were included in the draft.

Kirven is also working with Barnum Construction and City Works Director Les Hook on a Memorandum of Understanding concerning the Big Horn Mountain Campground property. The owner of the property was unhappy with work done by Barnum during a city water line project and the city and contractor are working out details to satisfy the property owner.
