Buffalo Council Agrees to Water Line Easement Payments

Buffalo City Council
Buffalo City Council

At last week's Buffalo City Council meeting, the council approved a request from City Attorney Ben Kirven for roughly $4,400 in payments for water line easements and fees he negotiated across state-owned lands at the Veteran's Home and private properties west of Buffalo.
Kirven explains.

According to Kirven, the proposed water line is an upgraded 18-inch main supply line from the rebuilt water treatment plant which will tie-in to an existing structure near Pamida on Highway 16 West.

Kirven said more easement negotiations are needed for other properties along the proposed water line route, but he expects the easements negotiations to be completed by the end of July.

Kirven said if all of the easements can be wrapped up, the project could go to bid soon after, still begin construction this fall and continue through the winter months, with completion slated for 2012.
