Buffalo Council Accepts Grants For Compliance Checks

The Buffalo City Council has voted to accept two separate grant from the Wyoming Association of Sheriffs and Chiefs of Police (WASCOP) for local compliance checks.

Buffalo Police Chief Jason Carder made the request at the city council meeting Tuesday evening.

The grants will fund compliance checks in the city and county that will determine if employees at retail establishments are checking identification to make sure they are not selling alcohol and tobacco to minors.

The funding is set at $3,400 each for alcohol and tobacco inspection grants.
