Buffalo Council Accepts Grant For Police Camera

Buffalo Police Chief Jason Carder gave his report to the City Council at their meeting Tuesday, and requested they accept a grant to purchase a crime scene camera.

The Burlington Northern/Santa Fe Grant, in the amount of $5,135, was approved by the council.

Carder also reported that the police department will be providing traffic control for the Monster March on Halloween afternoon from 4 to 6:30pm, and will have extra officers on duty that night as well.
Main Street from Fort to Angus Streets will be shut down from 3 to whenever the March ends, at the police chief's discretion, as passed by the council earlier in the meeting.

Deer mitigation will begin in early November, he said. The city has permits to harvest 75 deer but his department is budgeted for 60. The harvested deer will be taken to Big Horn Meat for processing and the meat will be donated to the Bread Of Life Food Pantry.
