Buffalo City Mechanic Retiring, Search For Replacement On

At their last meeting the Buffalo City Council was informed of the pending retirement of the City Mechanic by City Works Director Les Hook.

Andy Bain will retire at the end of May, according to Hook. He has been with the city since 1989.

Hook also reported that he has filed an application with Rocky Mountain Power for new street lights to be installed on Flatiron Drive.
The application will be sent to the company's headquarters in Oregon for review and a recommendation will then be sent on to the state office. Hook will hopefully have more news on the matter at the next council meeting.

Hook updated the council on other projects his crews have been working on.

The city's raw water line supplies untreated irrigation water to the golf course, parks, schools and other similar sites that don't require treated water. The system has needed upgrading and is now undergoing some of those upgrades.
