Buffalo City Hall To Get US Flag

Buffalo City Hall To Get US Flag

Buffalo City Councilman Russ Humphrey at a recent meeting, brought up the subject of a US Flag on City Hall.

He asked City Works Director Les Hook why there wasn't a US Flag on the building, as there are on other local, state, and Federal buildings.
He told the council he would like to see one mounted on or near the building to help designate it as a governmental building.

The previous City Hall, torn down to accommodate the current City Hall, had a flag pole adjacent to it, Humphrey said, but he didn't remember the current City Hall ever having a flag stand or pole attached or adjacent to it.

Both Councilman Bill Hawley and Mayor Randy Dyess thought having a flag for City Hall a good idea, and will have city crews work to get one installed soon.
