Buffalo City Hall Facelift? Council Says Maybe...

Face lift Coming for City Hall? Possibly.

At last week's City Council meeting, Buffalo Downtown Association (BDA) Director Marie Verger requested the council consider some beautification projects for City Hall.

Verger explained that with the number of events scheduled this year in Buffalo, the BDA thought putting a shine on City Hall would go a long way toward giving visitors a good first impression of the town and city government.

She said a local artist had designed a new sign for the front of City Hall and that painting the front of the building could also be a possibility. She has checked into a color-coordinated awning as well.

The project would take two to three weeks to complete, according to Verger.

Mayor Randy Dyess said the project would more than likely have to be bid and at City Clerk Julie Silbernagel's suggestion the council decided to discuss the matter further and possibly budget the facelift for the building during the upcoming budget sessions before making a decision.
