Buffalo's City Council, at their meeting on Monday, passed a number of Resolutions regarding budgetary items, agreements to work with the county, and a plan for capital improvements.

In addition to Resolution #1319, that approved grant applications for a sports complex and other recreation amenities, the council also approved Resolution #1318 that set the city's mil levy for fiscal year 2011-2012.

Also approved was Resolution #1320, dealing with a capital improvement plan for the next five years, which Mayor Randy Dyess explains.

Resolution #1321 is an agreement between the City of Buffalo, Johnson County and the Town of Kaycee to seek state and Federal funding for projects for all three entities, to enhance the quality of life for all residents of Johnson County.

Dyess explains why he believes in the agreement.

After some discussion on each Resolution, the council approved all of them.

Also approved on second reading at the meeting was Ordinance # 1347, which will revise city code to recognize and approve the appointment of commission members in the Vision Buffalo Commission.
