The Buffalo City Council will have more money to help pay for overtime during the next three weeks during the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, thanks to a grant from the Wyoming Sheriffs and Police Chiefs Association.

The $6,000 law enforcement grant was offered to the police department and had to be accepted by the city council.
Buffalo Police Chief Mike Chapman made the request of the council last week.

The city council accepted the grant on a unanimous vote. Chapman also told the council the tentative move-in date for the new justice center is September 15th. Also, the council accepted a bid from Woodpecker Trucking of Pendleton, Oregon for a used low-boy trailer for a price of $36,250 including delivery to Buffalo. The only other bid received was for a new trailer for a price of $95,000.
