The Lewis Street Bridge reconstruction project in Sheridan is well underway. The project consists of replacing the existing bridge and redoing several of the surrounding streets to enhance safety and traffic flow in the area.

One such street is Alger, which runs along the west side of the Sheridan County Fulmer Library. Executive Director of the Library, Cameron Duff, says that aside from the obvious closure of Alger altering the main entrance to the library, the project has created a couple of other changes that patrons need to be mindful of when visiting the library.

Alger Street will remain closed to thru traffic for at least the next couple of months while the contractor reconstructs the street to become a cul-de-sac and replaces the street's infrastructure.
