Bond Set For Rodeo Weekend Assailants

Two Billings, Montana men face charges of aggravated assault and battery in Sheridan County. 25-year-old Leo Pinnick and 18-year-old Walker Takes Horse made their initial appearance in Sheridan County Circuit Court on Monday.

Both men are alleged to be the aggressors in a fight that resulted in Neil Switzer and Christopher Stotts being rushed to the hospital on Saturday, July 11th. Switzer’s injuries were so extensive he had to be flown to Denver and underwent 6 hours of reconstructive surgery on his face. Switzer is expected to make a full recovery.

Pinnick and Takes Horse will have to option of a preliminary hearing before Circuit Court Judge John Sampson. The judge will decide whether or not to bind the case over to 4th Judicial District Court for trial. Both men remain in the Sheridan County Detention Center on a $100,000 cash only bond. If convicted, the pair could face up to 10 years in prison and a $10,000 fine.
