Bobcat hunters and trappers have until Monday, March 11 to register any bobcats they harvested this past season. Sheridan Media's Chris Foy has the story.

Bobcat trapping and hunting has been pretty popular this year, according to information specialist with the Wyoming Game and Fish Department, Warren Mischke. He says this year there have been a fair number of the animals in northeastern Wyoming - and the value of the furs has increased.

But anyone who snagged a bobcat this season need to register with Game and Fish. Mischke explains.

The pelt or unskinned, unfrozen carcass must be presented to a Wyoming Game and Fish regional office or game warden. At the time of registration, the trapper or hunter should provide the age and gender of the animal, the hunt area used, the date of harvest, the number of traps set and the number of days the traps were set or the number of days hunted.
