Board Hears Bullying Resolution

Two Sheridan schools and a teacher will be recognized for their achievements at Monday's meeting of Sheridan County School District 2. The meeting is set to start at 6 in the District's central office board room.

Fort McKenzie High School English teacher Mick Wiest will be recognized as Wyoming's 2014 Teacher of the Year, and Highland Park Elementary and Sheridan Junior High School will be recognized for having received rankings of “Exceeds Expectations.”

Also on Monday's agenda is a request from District 2 Facilities Director Julie Carroll to advertise for bids on equipment; information on the Wyoming Accountability in Education Act pilot results; secondary schools' improvement plans; and the fiscal year 2014 quarterly financial update.

Superintendent Craig Dougherty will provide an update on capital construction projects. Trustee Rich Bridger will report on a resolution addressing bullying from the Wyoming School Boards Association.
