Bluegrass Camp For Kids Kicks Off Big Horn Mountain Festival

This weekend, July 10th, 11th, and 12th is the 11th Annual Big Horn Mountain Festival in Buffalo, but the week will begin with the Bluegrass Camp For Kids, which will run from July 7th through the 10th and culminate in a performance at the festival.

Beginning Tuesday, kids will be honing their craft and learning more about music theory and performance.
According to the festival's website, the four-day camp “is a bluegrass and folk music program for children ages 9 to 18, organized and taught by members of the award-winning band, The Barefoot Movement.”
“The kids can pick from a wide range of classes, including all levels of guitar, bass, banjo, fiddle, and vocals. They will also experience band class with their peers, daily jams, square dances, art projects, and optional private lessons.”
The participating kids will then give a performance on the festival's main stage Friday afternoon, July 10th.

The festival itself will run Friday, July 10th through Sunday, July 12th and will have performers in many different genres on stage each day with the main headliners John Anderson performing Friday night and Marty Stuart taking the stage Saturday night.

We will have more on the festival itself, the schedule of events, and more throughout the week.
