Black Tooth Brewery to Compete for Wyoming State Microbrew Title

Sheridan's Black Tooth Brewery will enter Wyoming's official Microbrew Competition Saturday in Saratoga. The 16th annual competition will be the Sheridan brewery's first time competing for the state brew title. Amber Ale is the contest brew, and Black Tooth Brewery Co-owner Tim Barnes said they will be bringing a few more beers as well.

They will go up against Altitude Chop House of Laramie who won last year's competition, and Snake River Brewing of Jackson who won in 2009. Twelve breweries in all will compete. People's choice winner last year was Library Sports Grille and Brewery, also of Laramie.

According to the Wyoming Business Report this may be the first time that all breweries in the state will attend.

The contest is usually held at Veterans Island Park in Saratoga, but because of spring flooding it will be held at Kathy Glode park off Highway 130 near the Saratoga Museum.
