Billings Death Investigation Nearing Completion

BILLINGS, Mont. (AP) - The investigation into the death of a Billings man who was repeatedly shocked with a stun gun while being arrested is nearing completion. Yellowstone County Attorney Scott Twito said Friday that toxicology tests related to the Oct. 12 death of Ryan Michael Bain have been completed by the Montana State Crime Lab in Missoula. Twito says his office will review the results, and a coroner's inquest will likely be scheduled.Police shot the 31-year-old Bain with a stun gun three times Oct. 10 during a struggle that began when officers tried to arrest him after a report that a man was running naked through city streets. He was taken to the county jail, where he again resisted and fought with officers. Bain was hit a fourth time with a stun gun before being placed in a restraint chair. Authorities say he went into cardiac arrest a few minutes later and died two days after that a hospital.
