Bighorn National Forest Hiring for Summer Positions

Officials with the Bighorn National Forest have announced that over the next couple of months, forest managers will be hiring for temporary, seasonal positions in a variety of specialized areas. Those areas include, but are not limited to, archeology, range management, recreation, engineering, wildlife, botany, hydrology, fisheries, administration and fire.

Forest Supervisor Bill Bass said in a news release that most career employees start out with temporary positions. He said that temporary employees usually work through the summer season, beginning in May or June and typically ending in early September.

Positions will be filled at the Supervisor’s Office in Sheridan, the Powder River Ranger District in Buffalo, the Tongue Ranger District in Sheridan, and the Medicine Wheel/Paintrock Ranger District in Lovell and Greybull.
