Big Horn Students Take Top Honors

Big Horn High School took top honors in the 18th annual Wyoming Academic Challenge held the last weekend in January at Sheridan College.

The team, coached by Shawn Ivie, took first place, overall, and top small school honors with team members Ben Warder, Andrew Schuster, Brody Bard and Natalie Greenelsh. Members of the team took home a trophy, medals, and one-year full tuition scholarships from Sheridan College.

Grady Craft from Sheridan was named top individual for the competition and was also awarded a one-year full tuition scholarship from the college.

The team coaches vote on the award. About 70 high school students participated. Second place went to East Cheyenne School and third to Riverside High School. The state finals will be held in April in Casper. The top 18 teams qualify, 12 large and six small.
