The Bighorn National Forest will be hosting an open house next Thursday, May 3rd in Buffalo at the Johnson County Fire Hall from 5 to 7pm.

The open house will give the public the opportunity to ask questions, share ideas and concerns and obtain additional information on the Bighorn National Forest's Vision 2022 future workforce plan.
Also to be discussed is the Powder River District's Ranger position.

According to a release from the Buffalo Area Chamber of Commerce concerning the open house, due to a large citizen turnout at an earlier meeting in Buffalo, Forest Supervisor Andrew K. Johnson designated the May 3rd meeting to take more public comment and concerns over the proposal to have the Tongue District Ranger from Sheridan work in Buffalo a couple of days per week, instead of hiring a full-time District Ranger for the Powder River District.

Interested residents should plan to attend the meeting and provide input.
